JILBAB/HIJAB

In the name of God, most Gracious, most Compassionate
starts the day and greet the end of life forever.
close your eyes to be part of eternity.

this post is probably the most tiring one to read, cause it's getting serious.

the word JILBAB in the Qur'an

[33:59]
"O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the faithful to draw their JALABIB close around them; that is better that they will be recognized and not annoyed. And God is ever Forgiving, Gentle."

The word "jalabib" is the plural of "jilbab". Clearly, this ayah states a command for Muslim women to wear a garment which Allah SWT has called "jilbab". (muhajabah)

which refers to any long and loose-fit coat or garment worn by some Muslim women also covers the entire body, except for hands, face, and head. The head and neck are then covered by a scarf or wrap (khimar). Some women will also cover the hands and face (niqab). In Indonesia, the word jilbab is used for a headscarf rather than a long baggy overgarment (Geertz). In recent years, a short visor is often included to protect the face from the tropical sun. (and this we WIKIed it, believe it or not ;p, yet it is quite important)

the word HIJAB in the Qur'an

[7:46]
Between them shall be a veil, and on the heights will be men who would know every one by his marks: they will call out to the Companions of the Garden, “peace on you”: they will not have entered, but they will have an assurance (thereof).

[17:45]
When thou dost recite the Qur’an, We put, between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter, a veil invisible:

[19:17]
She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

[33:53]
O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet’s houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah’s Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah’s sight an enormity.

[38:32]
And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night)"

[41:5]
They say: “Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears in a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)”

[42:51]
It is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a messenger to reveal, with Allah’s permission, what Allah wills: for He is Most High, Most Wise.

“Hijab” is the term used by many Muslims women to describe their head cover that may or may not include covering their face except their eyes, and sometimes covering also one eye. The Arabic word “Hijab” can be translated into veil or yashmak. Other meanings for the word “Hijab” include, screen, cover(ing), mantle, curtain, drapes, partition, division, divider.
(seekthetruth

However, Hijab is not just a headscarf. It is the complete way of covering your body. The only parts of a woman's body that can shown to the public are her hands, face, and some say, feet. The third letter J' of Hijab stands for Jilbab which constitutes the outer garment. It describes a garment that we wear on top of our underclothes. The underclothes can be anything like a long dress, a shirt and pants, a jacket and long skirt, etc. (hijabfacts)

Jilbab is the garment that Allah command for muslim women to wear, and Hijab in the Qur'an was actually means a divider, it is like saying "there's a hijab between men and women"
there's a lot of source that we'd like to share, not just from The Qur'an but also from The Hadith, yet too many words, might ends too many misunderstanding, we let you explore, think and decide about it.
